Letters are tools for creativity, gratitude, reverence, and resistance. When we write to the people and objects we love, we preserve our affection, spend our time intentionally, and foster emotional intimacy with each pass of the pen.

And so, we’ll write. Together, outside.

We’ll gather and ground, then meander through the woods. We’ll share prompts, write, and, only if called to do so, share our words.

Whether it’s a letter to a person, a tree, your coffee, yourself, or your senator, we aren’t writing to be poets; we are writing to express, to feel, to rekindle our voices, and repoint our compasses.

Weaving connections, caring, and fostering a felt sense of love is important, especially now, during Earth Month, and always.
